Our mission since 1961 has been to provide our community with a Memorial Day Service and a Veterans Day Service every year. We also act as a repository for the burial flags Montgomery County, Iowa veterans. Veteran’s families may dedicate their deceased veteran’s flag to the Court of Honor for safe keeping. The family retains ownership of the flag. The Court of Honor preserves and stores the flags and on Memorial Day the Court of Honor, with the help of hundreds of community volunteers, fly them all around Evergreen Cemetery here in Red Oak, Iowa.
