Unification of Downtown Planters

The ROCIA is very appreciative of all the helping hands that went into this first unification phase of the eight downtown planters. A big thank-you to Alan Spencer’s first block Red Oak FFA students, Ann Carder, and Lori and Sarah Johnson for helping with the planting of the 32 Green Velvet Boxwoods, which were donated by Matt and Denise Riley (huge thank you to them!) and were purchased locally at the HyVee Garden Center. Thank you to Root Development and Miners Tree Service for graciously donating the black top soil for the planters. Thank you to the City’s park department and Orme Outdoor for helping with preparing the planters. This was the first phase; stay tuned for round two!
