Meet the ROCIA Board of Directors Spotlight – Diana Hietbrink

Current Chamber and Industry Association Board President Diana Hietbrink has been a real estate agent with Rubey Realty for the past three years.  While she keeps busy with listing and selling homes, she also assists with the property management division of Rubey Realty.  Before delving into real estate, she worked in retail and retail management for over 20 years.

After serving on the Board for a year, becoming the Chamber Board President has been a rewarding moment for Diana.  One of the best rewards is working with the amazing staff at the Chamber office, Elaine Carlson, Director of Membership and Finance, Beau Boeye, Events and Marketing Coordinator and Blake Bergren, Administrative Assistant.  They are truly the heart and sole of our Chamber and work very hard each day finding new members, assisting current members, making Chamber events a success and answering any questions from the public about our wonderful community.  One other reward is working with the other Board members that she serves with: Stephanie Vinton-Pollock, Bryant Blay, Brian Carlson, Danny Robertson, Sharon Bradley and Tim Werges.  Diana feels so fortunate to work side-by-side with this talented group which all bring different ideas, knowledge and dynamics to the Board.

Diana and her husband Adam moved to Red Oak 14 years ago when Adam was hired as a teacher at the Red Oak Middle School.  When they moved to Red Oak, they were so impressed with the beauty and history of the town.  The first memory Diana had while touring the town was the downtown square area with the fountain running and all the beautiful older homes.  Since being in Red Oak, they have grown their family and have a son Hayden who is a 3rd grader. In their spare time, she and her family enjoy traveling up north to spend time with their families in Okoboji, attending Iowa Hawkeye games and spending time outdoors.

Besides serving on the Chamber and Industry Association Board, she also serves as a board member on the West Central Iowa Regional Board of Realtors and the Wilson Performing Arts Center Board.  She also serves on the Marketing and Tourism Committee thru the Chamber, the newly formed Red Oak Area Housing Committee, Red Oak PTO and is a member of the Red Oak Rotary Club.

In closing, Diana just wants to stress the importance of our Red Oak Chamber and Industry Association to our community.  We are so fortunate to live in a community like Red Oak, we have so much to offer and the Chamber is a vital tool to help Red Oak with what it has to offer and help with its growth.
